The Wildgame Innovations Halo X Ray 600 Laser Range Finder is being billed as a powerful range finder, and it certainly has been developed using the latest technology. However, is this enough to make the Halo X Ray 600 a good buy or should you look for another range finder?

The Halo X Ray 600 uses the newest AI slope accounting technology, allowing you to get a range of up to 600 yards if required. The magnification is good for up to 6x, and you also get a scan mode so you can keep ranging at +/- 1 yard.
The Halo 600 is built for heavy duty use and it’s water resistant so you can use it even in difficult weather conditions. But what really makes the Halo X Ray different is that it takes slope into account, something other range finders don’t, and that’s an advantage that you can really use.
If you’re a bow hunter this will be extremely useful as it will help you range objects easily. It won’t just tell you the distance but the angle as well, and you can set the finder in yards or meters, use angle technology or not and more. There are a lot of modes here actually, far more than you would probably use, but it’s good to know they are there.
The Halo X Ray 600 has a manual but really you don’t even need to use that since the range finder is very easy to use. If there’s one drawback, it’s that it uses a CR2 lithium battery which is not included. The focus knob is also a bit difficult to turn, but only when it’s new because it will loosen up with constant usage.
Summary: Should you buy the Wildgame Innovations Halo X Ray 600 Laser Range Finder?
The Halo X Ray 600 is a very nice range finder, making good use of technology without sacrificing usability. The optics is among the clearest on any range finder and the design quality is superb. This isn’t a perfect range finder and you have to cough up extra for the battery, but it’s worth it. This is a solid product and cheaper than other range finders that are only half as good.
